I thought like this, Perhaps I Can sell the note at a discount to one of the Barns in Albia but to do so it would have to be Endorced or that would not take it. I Can try, and will then let you know what they say. We have been having Considerable wet weather lately no frost yet. Bill Asbury, Godley, spilman Michals and some more of the Ottumwa men have been out West if you and taken up Claims & have returned home well pleased with the Country. Where they located they say the soil is first rate, your sister Emma is not very well, though nothing Cerious. Well I am 66 years of age to day, I am getting to be quite an old man, but time waits for no one. As my paper is now full, must Close, hopeing to hear from you soon, family all wist to be rememberd to you, From your Father &c SG Finney
