I saw Rader & stocker day before yesterday, Rader can do nothing, and stocker has not money, and is in a straight what to do. - write me at once and say what you are willing to allow me for the Cattle. If you allow me what I think is any thing like a fair price, I will make up the ballance Princeple and Interest and send you Draft on Chicago for the amount. When I was out there I think I understood the Cow that Broke her neck last winter was fat and nice and it was not an entire, loss, you know how it is. We are having some very Cold Weather for several days. Annies health is not good, though able to be up most of the time. she has no Cough. The Anderson trial was not published in the paper or I would send it to you. We made out a very strong Case, wish you could be here to spend the Christmas with us, all well as usual, your letter reached us the day after it was written & mailed from your Father &c SG Finney
