Old Mr. John Draper & his wife have died lately, Nancy Barber died lately, Capt Hardy recd a letter a day or two ago from Charley Winn he wrote he had rented his place for $80.00 cash rent, and that he had mooved to Neileigh had bought 3 lots had a fine garden & was working at his trade. We are still feeding 18 head of steers corn [chop?], and on good grass, also some 22 hogs, was offerd to day 4.50 for 10 of the best, & 4.25 for the other 8 I am feeding for 5 cents. I was down to Keokuk about 2 weeks ago my sister sarahs remains was removed from a Vault, and buried, she now lays in her last resting place. she was 62 years of age. We are all in usual health except Ernie he has the Whooping Cough, and is going to school. Kind regards to our friends on the plains in Neb. Your Father &c SG Finney
