I have Commenced a suit in Destrict Court to quiet [illegible] in the Howard Place. We have got all the 80 in timothy medow, our Pasture is good all this season. I have sold over 1200$ worth of Cattle & hogs this season, my expence has been a good deal, have to hire so much. Job Jay has been very low for some weeks with disease of the hart, he cant get well, old Mr Hendricks cant live very long, the health of the neighborhood is general good. Mr Stuart has recd the appointment of P.M. in Place of Capt Hardy removed. dont you think you can spare time to come and see a boddy this fall? It dont cost much you know, besides you have no one to look after but yourself, I have not much in the way of new to write, the family are all in usual health, From your Father &c SG Finney Ps Ernest says he would like to see Charley
