Blakesburg Iowa 2-10-86 Mr Geo S Finney yours of the 3rd Inst came to hand to day, together with letter of Franks, well we were getting quite anxious to hear from you, after such a cold snap the murcury was down as low as 25 [degrees] below zero here, it come pritty near getting away with us here, buy you say it was 36 there, and no wood, no coal, no woman, get out, but then you had plenty of hay I suppose you fealt very thankfull for that. - As you say you have to work hard, and no freedom, I often think If any thing would hapen to you What would you do, but then you made Choice of your own situation you could have had it diferent
