41 Mrs. Esther Griffiths was hostess to the Cary Club, Monday afternoon, October 5, 1936. Mrs. J. A. Beeson, the new president presided. Fifteen members answered to roll call. There was no secretary's report as no minutes of the previous meet- ing had been taken. There was no business to transact so the foll- owing program was given; "Amana That Was," by Bertha M. H. Shambaugh, Professor in the State University of Iowa, was given by Mrs. Mary C. McKean. This was very interesting, Amana means or signifies; "Believe faithfully and is located in Iowa and Johnson counties. Current events were ans- wered by giving items of interest on Amana. Adjournment was next in order, to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Alice Phelps. Aea B. Price, Secretary.
