96 Feb. 20 - '39. Mrs. Irwin Ford was hostess to the Cary Club Ten members responded to roll call. The sec'y report was read and approved. Mrs. Seger reported having talked with Mrs. Miller concerning Federated oven and that we are in arrears two years. Motion made and seconded that we pay $1.00 and be reinstated, Motion carried. Cary Club voted to pay for curtains for one window in Club room at the Library. Non partisan articles on hidden tapes to be presented at our meetings once a month. Motion made that Mrs Seger be reimbursed for expense of candy made for the Thrift Sale. Motion carried. Mrs. Fernow gave an interesting account of the beautiful and well balanced life of Longfellow and told of having visited many of the places mentioned in his poems. She also read selections from some of his poems. Mrs. Woodward gave a life sketch of Mark Twain, a born humorist, telling many adventures and experiences related in his stories. She read briefly from Nevada Sketches. The meeting closed with Current Events. Club to meet March 6 with Carrie Reickert. Elva Emerson B.B. Sec'y P.J. ----- M.W.
