[Altho?] the club was organized in 1878, only the secretary's books from 1899 are available and these had been perused by Mrs Fernow who had prepared a paper telling of the high lights of the Club's activities. Those during the World War and the club's efforts in helping to obtain the Public Library and Thomas Park were most interesting Both papers showed many hours of painstaking work on the part of the reader and both papers are to be kept "valuables" by the custodian. Mrs A.E. Blinks gave a humorous reading after which an exchange of the favorite recipes instead of customary current events was given. This meeting closed the club's activities until the fall meetings begin in September - M Beeson - Sec'y
