Mrs. Devitt moved that the Board of Iowa League of Women Voters extend a note of gratitude and appreciation toe Mrs. Wulf and to the Floyd County League of Women Voters for the historic gavel from the child hood home of Carrie Law Chapman Catt. The chairman - Mrs. Pierce is asked to assure the Floyd Count League that this gavel as well as that presented to Mrs. Catt shall have a gold band bearing an appropriate inscription. The chairman is further more directed to make arrangements for the purchase and inscription of the band. seconded. carried. The episode of the vanity case may now be laid to rest in the dead past! Mrs. Fred Hunter moved that the League of Women Voters request the Secretary of Iowa State Fair Board to appoint a representative of the Iowa League of Women Voters to serve on the programme committee of the Womens & Childrens Building at the State Fair. Seconded by Mrs. Knutson - carried. Mrs. Hunter moved that the chair appoint a com. to carry thro State Fair plans seconded carried. Mrs. Devitt moved that our State Chairman serve as hostess for Washington Way at the Baltimore National Convention - seconded - Motion put by the secretary - carried.
