1923. The Advisory Committee included in its membership the Executive Com of the I.L.W.Voters. The members residing in the city expected to carry on the work. Mrs Tomlinson, Mrs Mayer, and Mrs Knutson, Mrs Hunter Miss Dunlap. Febr 1923 the Board of the I.L.W.Voters met at the call of the President Mrs I.H. Tomlinson at Headquarters 505 1/2 Shopps Bldg. after a hearing at the State House of the Joint Committee of the House of Representatives and Senate of appropriations to discuss the Shepperd Towner Bill. Our State President Mrs Tomlinson was given the honor of presiding. The committee hearing was in the Senate chamber and as the gavel was turned over to Mrs Tomlinson our hearts welled with pride in the honor accorded and realized that women's influence was gaining. The women who gave short talks at this memorable meeting were Mrs Ruste introduced by Mrs Tomlinson, Mrs Devitt, Miss Anna Drake Mrs Richardson, Mrs Max Mayer. also Miss Anne Lawther, Mrs Ruff and Mrs C.A. Knutson were present. The Board members present at the meeting following this event at State House and going to Headquarters were Mrs I.H. Tomlinson -Pres. Mrs Oscar Ruff 1st Vice Pres. Mrs Max Mayer 2nd " ". Mrs A.O. Ruste. Chr. of Child Welfare Com. Mrs James Devitt " " Women in Industry. Miss Anne Lawther Past Pres. Miss Bess Fenton Chr. of Uniform Laws Com. Mrs Clarence Knutson Sec.
