Announcement of the District Chairmen. 4th Mrs A.R. Sale - Mason City - 6th Dr Margaret Mills. Ottumwa. 7th Mrs F.W. Brownwell. Winterset. 9th Miss Mary Ruth Rathke, Glenwood. 10th Mrs M.J. Fitzpatrick... Ft Dodge. 11th Mrs E.J. Stason... Sioux City. Mrs Daniels then gave a report of what she had been doing. In part she said she had been working for years with the League and trying to help but that her report only covered four weeks she had been in office. First thing she had done was to appoint Committee chairmen and District chairmen. Feeling that it was necessary to maintain down town headquarters she had rented the old rooms formerly occupied by the League in the Shopps Bldg 5th floor. That our activity should be along two lines publicity and office correspondence and she was trying very hard to answer every letter the day it was received, thus far she had been successful but Mrs Tomlinson says from her experience that it will be impossible always to do it. This was being done with the help of a half time stenographer, Miss Rees, who is in High School, $7.50 a week. Miss Blanche Wingate had charge of the publicity with twenty-one members over the State through 30 newspapers. Some papers have women's page and are giving special page in this way the news is sent out verbatim and Miss Wingate has charge of publicity and will attend Board meetings. Not able to be with us today but sent her assistant. Mrs Daniels was able to secure Mrs Morris
