May 5, 1924 A called Board meeting of I. L. W. Voters was held at 414 Frankel Bldg with the President Miss Anna Drake presiding. The following were present. Miss Drake, Mrs Max Mayer, Mrs Gordon Elliott, Bonnie Marshall and Mrs Fred Hunter. Treasure reported $255.38 on hand. The following bills were presented - 1 dog stencils for office $1.75. Congolium rug - Davidson's $11.00. Telegrams - to Sioux city, new York & Washington $5.72 Selephone $16.72. Stamps $4.00. Repair type-writer $4.00 new ribbon 75 cts new parts $.50 total $5.25 Rent $30 Mays Gay Stenographer $20. Moved by Mrs Mayer that the bills be allowed and ordered paid. amount drawn on the Treasury. Seconded and carried. Moved by Mrs Mayer that the chair appoint a committee to arrange for a luncheon in honor of Mrs Ben Hooper who would be in Des Moines. May 14, and that Mrs Henry Frankel be asked to give a report of the National League of Women Voter Convention at this same meeting. Chair appointed after motion has been seconded and carried as a committee, Mesdemes Gordon Elliott. A. J. Kimmell and H. Jesse Miller. Moved by Mrs. Hunter, that a questionaire be sent to the candidate for the June primary asking for a statement of his platform end qualifications for the office he seeks. Motion seconded and carried.
