Ames by the Iowa Federation of Women's Clubs and that a copy of this resolution be mailed to each member of the Board of Education. Motion seconded by Mrs Hunter. Carried. Report of the Child Welfare committee very ably given by the new chairman Mrs Lincoln. Mrs Bonnie Marshall, Treasurer reported funds were coming in and that a complete report would be given later. Report of the Legal Status of Women was presented by the chairman. Miss Lillian Leffert who moved that whereas the 40th General Assembly proposed an Amendment to the Constitution of the State of Iowa stinking out the word "male" (in the article relative to the qualifications of member for Ch. Legislating the proposed amendment will be submitted to the people at the General election in Nov. 1926 for approval or rejection, therefore be it resolved to the Iowa League of Women Voters in annual convention assembled that the League initiative campaign to educate the electorate relative to their responsibility and any way upon then the necessity of voting upon the prepared amendment. Motion was seconded and carried.
