since I rec. your first, so you are not the only one who has been neglected. although it has not been at all intentional, if I had not been pretty well I could not have done the work I have had to do this [summer?], but I am in hopes now my work will be some-what easier, as we are done with this place, in having been told, so we are to leave here in the Spring. Where we shall go I cannot tell. but I hope not on a farm. I was very much surprised to hear that Mr. Stephens had made to Whitewater, I am so glad, now we can come and see you all at once. Tell them to come and see us. Gus. says he shall come out to [illegible' soon, that is as soon as he can leave
