-2- go on cross country run, learn the tricks of the "commandos" so that we will, at least, have a fighting chance. In fact I had to climb a tree and act as sniper. Went to the stage play "Arsenic and Old Lace". Pretty nice I thought. Saw Jack Benny's latest picture "Meanest Man in Town" plus Les Brown's Orchestra in person. Sure wish you were there with me in St. Louis. St Louis is alright, but I prefer Minneapolis. Sorry I wasn't able to trek down to Waterloo. I will someday, Evelyn. Love to your mother. Oops, I have to go post my relief. Dick (GETTING FAT- GOOD FOOD HERE)
