Sunday PM 12 / 26 / 43 Dear Evelyn: Thanks so much for the swell card and note. It's good to know you are getting along good, and that you are able to do a lot of work in preparing for Christmas. For me, my Christmas was short and uneventful. Previous bad weather made us fly today in order to stay up on schedule, and spent the entire afternoon formation flying. However, this is the last stage of Cadet training, and with good luck etc. we should graduate the 8th and get a few days off. Then of course the real work begins. All in all I have gotten along good, and will try hard to continue doing so. May 1944 see a big improvement. Sincerely, Joe
