From Somewhere in the Southwest Pacific Dec. 9-1943 Dear Evelyn I just received your most welcome letter and was sure glad to hear from you. I was kind of worried there for awhile wondering if I had passed the test in your eyes or not. (Those lovely blue ones). So you never been to New York, thats bad I'll have to see what I can do about that. You know no matter how much you travel and see the trip is never complete until you see the Brooklyn Dodgers play baseball and when I am back home I never miss a game if I can help it. The other sports I really like are hockey, basketball, and bowling, football sometimes it its not to cold, and seeing that I live right
