Camp Shelby Miss. June 10 1942 Dear Evelyn I'm a dogface alright! And how! I had to ask a non-com to find out, so you see, it has no popular use around here. We rolled out at five this morning preparatory to leaving our tent quarters. Carrying full field pack, rifles, and gas masks, we stood in ranks a half hour before beginning our mile march.
