April 23 1943 Dear Evelyn, No, I'm not an instructor. I'm a line (buck) sergeant in a line outfit out on maneuvers. Have just completed two weeks and am getting a little rest for a couple of days. Then we have four more weeks. No one knows what Camp we'll go to when we come off maneuvers but it definitely won't be Shelby. Glad to hear you're up to your "ears in work." Idleness is the devil's workshop" you know. It's about the time of the year for vacancies and personals. I've got an itching foot and would like to move. Guess it's a hangover from school teaching days. Didn't get any Palm Sunday or Good Friday, but I'm looking forward to an Easter service. As ever, Harry
