if I do have a letter from you
when I get back to camp I will
try to find time to answer it.
I got a letter from Carl Monday
too. He said he is still in love
& thinks he might be in the
army too before long.
Harry just said I should tell
you he didn't know what we
were going to do because it's only
10:30 & he is getting hungry already. Well I suppose we better get dressed & go out & use our
influence. Please excuse my poor
writing because this pen I am
using I think is the one Wm
used when he founded Penn.
Don't get things wrong & think
that I am stationed at Hotel San
Diego because I am just using
their stationery & pen. You don't
have to put San Diego on the
envelope if you don't want to,
Camp Callan, Calif, is good enough.
Well I suppose I had better leave a little space for a few works from Harry
so until I hear from you I'll hear of
you. Your something, Fred.

Say Evelyn, you know I think Fred is really in love because he just kept talking about you all night while I was trying to sleep. I sure wish you & Helen taught school in San Diego so on weekends we could all get together. try
to get a job here next year.
