Camp Claiborne La April 24, 1941 Dear Evelyn How are you getting along by now. Still the hard working school teacher I suppose. It's been quite awhile since I wrote a letter to you but I haven't much else to do so I'll try my hand at it again. Well it looks like I'm in the army now. I never did think much of it and I don't think any more of the life since I'm here. Guess what I want can't be found in the army. They got me the 14th of April so I've been in nearly two weeks. I felt kind of blue the 1st week but it sort of worn out
