Somewhere in La Aug. 23, 1941 Dear Evelyn Thanks for the nice letter and picture. Looks as if you were having a big time out in those Rockies. I missed them in Colo on my trip but aim to get to go there some day as I hear the scenery is swell. I been on quite a two weeks trip myself lately. Left camp two weeks ago Monday. We moved by truck down to De Quincy. Laid around for a couple of days and then moved up to Evans, La. Then to around Burrs Ferry. Finally kept moving around so much we didn't even pitch our tents.
