if I never see La. again it will be too soon. I'll never like this life and I hope I'm out of here soon. Guess they will turn some loose by Xmas. The morale is darn low around here and as I talk with fellows from other outfits I guess its the same every where. All this stuff you hear about how wonderful is everything for us out here on manueveer is baloney. See in the paper where we have ice cream, pop & every thing else. All I've saw is some warm beer and he fellows are out of smoking about half the time. Don't even get water to wash or take a bath in unless we are camped close to a creek and they take the drinking water out of the river and dope it up. Taste like hell.
