Camp Claiborne LA Jan 5, 1942 Dear Evelyn Yes its me again, I don't usually write quite so often but thought I'd better this time. I imagine that by now you are back at the job. If you didn't get stranded in a snow drift somewhere. Guess that's possible from what some of the fellows tell who just got back from their furloughs. All of us are finally back here. The last of them just got in this morning. if I'd of known exactly what the score was I would have taken another day or so myself rather than hurrying right back as soon as I got the telegram. Everything around here is pretty well torn up. The 164th regiment is out in California somewhere. Part of the 135th & 168th went with the 133rd Inf. Their is vacant tents all over this place. They are starting to build another camp right out north west here. Will have it finished in 18 days and it holds 15,000
