Somewhere in England Oct. 12, 1942 Dearest Evelyn, I'll try and write you a few lines this evening. Don't know as there is a whole lot to write about but may be able to fill at least a couple of lines. How is every thing back there with you now? Still the hard working girl I suppose. How's the work going? School started again so don't you miss having the kids around. Talking of kids, I suppose you've saw in the paper where some of the fellows over here are adopting orphan children. Our company is going to adopt one. Don't
