Reserved for Madison Waite Jan 25, 1943 Dearest Evelyn I'm going to spend these next 24 hours on guard so I will try and write a few letters. We've been getting some mail about every other day now but most of it is old mail of [war?] and see that has been around somewhere but hasn't been delivered. We're still glad to get it even if it is a little old. I got yours that was mailed Dec. 12 th. The [news?] [reel?] don't show half of things. I think that I told you how I spent my Xmas by watching the waves roll by. It sounds funny to us to have you back there write about
