North Africa Feb. 10, 1943 Dear Evelyn, I received some mail yesterday and I’m doing my best to get the most of it answered today. It was the newest mail that I had received for some time. Your letter was dated January 8. You’d written it after we arrived here but of course you didn’t know at the time in what part of the world I was in. Also got an announcement from George and Lois regarding their big event. Every thing is about normal with us over here. A few of us are living with the British and eating English ration. Bully Beef and stew. Only have it 3 times a day. They don’t want to surprise us so they have the same every
