I picked up a couple of handkerchiefs in town the other day that I'm enclosing. They aren't much but there isn't hardly any thing that a person can get over here that is worth any thing. Did you have a nice time on your vacation? Where did you go? I imagine with the gas rationing back there about the only way a person can take a trip any more is by train. Haven't heard any of the latest news from around the home town as I haven't gotten any new mail for some time. The latest of your letters that I've received is June 22nd. The ones from home are about the same. I still don't know hardly word one of this lingo and I'm making no effort to learn it. I've gotten along for some time now by talking with my hands and I suppose that I will continue to do so. The people here are learning fast that these yankees throw money around and they are raising the prices on everything. Well guess I've just about covered everything for now. I'm O.K. and feeling fine. Guess spending the summer in the wilds and sleeping under the stars is good for a fellow. Sure would like to see you again though maybe someday. Who knows. So be good. With all my Love Clarence
