Italy Dec 10, 1944 Dearest Evelyn, I'm trying to get some letter writing done this evening while I have the opportunity. I'm back with the outfit now and am pretty busy so far. Was hoping to get to do some writing last evening but I guess the war comes first. It does to us at least from where I'm at now. I'm feeling pretty good considering every thing. Being cooped up in a little hole with out even room to turn around in and then at times wishing that it was smaller so some people wouldn't be able to see it. Say that lingo that you're studying. If I could understand it. I would give a lot. You wander around here at night and hear them kids saying it but hoping that you don't find any of them. How's the world been treating you
