Dearest: As I told you, I think I understand how you feel and act and I wouldn't have you different. Your letter sounded as if you felt I had accused you of some lack or fault. To be quite honest I did not - perhaps it's because I'm too dumb to know or recognize it. What I was objecting to, was the feeling you gave me of being too demonstrative. The question in my mind was: would you want me to be less demonstrative after we were married? The second question is: were you either hurt or annoyed = or in any way feeling dissatisfied with me or matters toward the last part
