Mon. 24 Fair, fog morn.; S.E. about 73° Garden all a.m. office P.M. & a while evg. - Clara elected at Bismark N.D.at $180 - 9 1/2 [niss?]

Tues. 25 Fair & very fine, 81° Garden till 11 - [hoed?] evg Planted Carmen Potatoes and Stowell's Evergreen Corn. Then [supper?]

Wed. 26 Mostly cloudy, 77° southerly Garden till 11; spaded morn. planted Green Mountain Potatoes 2 [patohes?]. office a while evg. Light & [home?] evg.

Thurs. 27 Clear & cool a.m.; N.W. 75°. Fair P.M. Hoeing etc. till 11. - Piling wood evg. Abst. in between. no light evg. 

Fri. 28 Quite cool night. E. fair, 76°, Lilacs just fine. both colors. no snow balls yet. Got in all the wood morn. sprayed currants (part) but only slight appearance of worms. abs. p.m. Ins. evg. & mowed
