September, 1920 Sun. 5 Cloudy, & rain early & spkles 54-65° very still. Methodists held their services in our church. I went morn. Rev. Tough. Mon. 6 50 to 76°, Fair, N.V. gtle. (no) Labor -Day; store closed all P.M. and most every body went to Postville "doins." Our "early" plum now prime, and bountiful. Tues. 7 Fair, S.E. gtle, 80° max. Quiet; some abstracting cause in P.M. Wed. 8 Fair A.M. - cloudy P.M. 78° max. S.E. Drizzly rain evg. Thurs. 9 Drizzly all A.M. & cool. N.W. Fairing evg. not doing much. E.W.[G?] went to Des Moines. Fri. 10 Fair & warmer, 75° S.E. Thunder shower evg. Circularizing Home Ins. Co., &c. Sp. A of National here: Ingram. Sat. 11 Mostly fair, S.W. 83° Odd jobs: research etc
