September, 1920 Sun. 19 Fair morning 69° max. Rainy after 3:30 p.m. wife & I at church morn. Rev. [Gough?] preached. Mon. 20 Fair, N.W. to S.E. 75° Cemented porch roof (rear) and piped front porch slope, 4 to 6. Tues. 21 Fair, S.E. 84° Dug [Casman?] potatoes 4:30 [illegible] 1/2 [illegible] & & fine ones. Folks sold 11 lb grapes, and 8 lb. Sat. @ [6+ & 8 c 7 - ?] Wed. 22 Fair, but increasing cloudiness. S.E. - 81° Dug Green Mtn. pota. and set more strawberries, a.m. - Painted back porch roof 4 to 6. Thurs. 23 Rainy day; S.E. 70° Fair latter part. not well, & doing little. Fri. 24 Very fine again, almost clear, S.E. 80°. Filled our church letter. Rev. & Mrs. Pelton here to supper. Sat. 25 Fair, S.E. - 87° or 88°. - Dug a few potatoes morn; and mowed P.M. - H. and I at supper party for Peltons, at Gibbs'
