Monday Sept. 21 [1942] Dearest: I got your special Sunday morning. It's the nicest way to start a morning that I can think of. All day Sunday, I worked laying out lesson plans and correcting papers. Toward evening I rebelled and made four of the cases (like Betsy Diamond's but not so nice) for volumes of "The Tryout." They look rather nice on the shelves ..... certainly better than "The Tryout" itself. The idea seems to be a good one. The boxes do require a little time in making but I guess there's no great hurry.
