Eliza McDill has been in quite poor health for some time the Doctor calls it an affection of the Spleen. I believe. I have taken Green County Illinois to opperate in this summer if I had received your letter some sooner I migh have come to your County. I should like very much to travel over your State awhil and see how the Country looks when vegetation is green. I guess that I will have to marry & settle after this summer for Mother is continually rating me for being such a runnabout, if it was not for her I would travel for more than I do although it may be all for the best. Butler Parks has been very poorly for about a year with the Rheumatism he is now some better and is going to Minnesota with Dr Jas. Richey they will perhaps start from here on Thursday with about 20 yoke of work oxen. The rest of your Uncle John's folks are all well. Milton has become one of steadiest hard working men that is in the Country since he was married Joseph Brown was married a week or too since to Susana Wilson. Give my respects to Mrs. McDill and receive the best wishes of your Cousin. Wm. G. Chambers
