Ther. Thursday, Feb. 2, 1888 Wea. No "sunshine" here in De Soto, but mild, & thawing most of day. All appear as well with our folks, & busy as ever. Tho' Rosa_ was out part P.M. on duty guess. Much same self or cold troubling me some less perhaps feeling rather better after another good nights rest, & spending day in chamber much as usual or with more reading than sometimes. Ther. Friday 3 Wea. As mild think, with more of dampness in air most of day. Much same with our folks, & busy as usual, tho' George was here to have good "Barbers job" done P.M. Mrs. Post in short time P.M. As well certain self, perhaps some better of cold, spending day much as usual with some extra jobs repairing P.M. Learn ice is being cut on river near here now.
