May 8 Thursday Cloudy most of day, with little sprinkles in A.M. & first of P.M. Mer reaching 70°+ in P.M. Lena's sister Mary stayed with her last night, left for Decorah this morn. L- cleaned a cupboard in kitchen, aside from usual chores in A.M. & after had chores done in P.M. went to Dentists, Miss Taylor in awhile, after which I went in to see Rose. We tho't to go to M. society but they were there today and Rose (illegible). May 9 Sunshine & cloudy (by house?) Mer 75°+ at noon, & 78°+ at 2 o,c, mild in A.M., but quite windy in P.M. I was down to Mrs. Spaulding's after breakfast. Then over at Rose's of errand, after which we were down "shopping", I spent P.M. at odd jobs, feeling better than yesterday. Lena cleaning kitchen, Estelle in awhile after tea.
