weep, several times in the past few years, but how is it to day with me? Why I am looking with my minds eye upon the picture, as I never looked before. I now believe that I have one dear friend who cares more for me than for all the world beside; one to whom I can look for unrequitted love and friendship; one who will take an undivided interest in my wellfare in every respect. Now do not think I am forgetting human nature. No. No. I expect, we like other people will meet with the ills of life. But then the "Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not want." Let the waves of life roll on, for if we are only true to god and ourselves, we can say of them as was said of the waves of the fabled pactolus, "They Sweep o&'er sands of golden jewelry."
