Sunday 21 August - 1943 My dearest: I've been thinking about the house situation .... though we certainly don't have to settle anything about it right away. If we choose to buy an already built house, there'd be some advantages: 1. We could see the neighborhood as it is; not wait for it to build up around us and hope for the best. 2. We would probably have more room than we would if we built it ourselves. 3. We can buy closer downtown than we can build. 4. The garden and lawn would be developed already for us. There are many arguments in favor of my Aunt's house there
