8/4/43 Wednesday Dearest, I started a letter to you last night but it was 10:55 p.m when I got in and sat down on the edge of the bed to write. And at 11 the "lights' out" order came out and so there wasn't much of a letter anyway. I am waiting to begin a sun line mission and, having a few minutes, decided that this was the best use to which they could be put. Will you (though I suppose you probably have) secure a copy of the N.Y Times on Vincent Huggerty? I'd like to see it and we'll want it for the library. Dearest, I sent you this noon 3 $25 bonds. I earmarked them for something specific for our
