Friday 9/10/43 Dearest: Well, I signed my commission papers today. I was also trying on uniforms .... which are pretty swanky. I dont know yet on just what date I'll get my commission finally but I expect between the 20 and 25th of this month. Every time it's mentioned they move the date ahead. Nor have I any certainty as to what my new duties will be. I'll let you know as soon as I know. I sent you a number
