You'll find me changed by the army in this way -- I make my bed; polish all my shoes every night, keep my quarters clean. We get "gigs" for the slightest irregularities in dress or the condition of our possessions. This may not last .... the neatness, I mean. --- Mail was just passed out and a letter from Dad tells me that Uncle John died 1:10 a.m on the 22nd. His funeral is to be Monday. I wish I could be with my aunt for I feel that she needs me. But my commander, Cap't Beardsley, say that furloughs are granted to attend the funeral of one's mother and no other reason. I'll write more later, love. Do not write me this address until you hear from me. Love. B.J
