Wednesday 4/28/43 Dearest: Just a line. I'm fine but working very hard. One just rolls into bed at night exhausted. We are studying and putting Thursday in hours and hours gaining the experience neccessary for long navigation missions. Friday You see how little free time there is? Don't interpret that to mean I can't read your letters. I do that while eating mess; but you can't write and eat at the same time. It's remarkable what we learn: much of it is "military secret".
