27 May 1943 Good Evening, my dearest: It's now 10 p.m. and I am off duty.... so will write a few lines. I seem to have done a pretty good job of mixing up the numbers of passround L.N. I havent the faintest idea what #208 was about. From now on I am keeping a copy of each one. I don't know how I happened to get two no. 217's. I'll have to be more careful in the future. I have two articles in mind one on my recent trip to Mexico City although I actually saw very little. The other on my recent narrow escape... I'll call it "Flying Home From Over Matagorda Bay" or something like that. They are awaiting time in which to
