Sunday 16 May 43 Dearest: I am wondering if you are confused by the peculiar dating of my letters when compared to the dating on the envelope. There are two reasons - the post office let's thing lay around for a couple of days and then sends them out in a bunch; then too I write them during the week on the run and may not get to mail them for a day or two. You can't imagine what a nervous tension this work creates. I see why they have rest homes for air crew members. We never know when we are going to be called to fly. This school teaches you by putting you right on the job. I flew Tues, Thurs, Fri and Saturday of this week although a
