10 May 1943 Dearest: I find that I have 10 or less minutes to spare so I can write again today - You certainly make my mouth water... mmmh. I certainly got the prize package in you. Honestly I find in you every quality I want in a wife and not one that I would not want. Most men would be happy to find a wife who could work if nothing else ..... how wonderful is that I have found a girl who can cook, can write, likes the things I do, ... well, just has everything. We must be very careful that we never have any children posthumously .... we'd have to paper the walls with marriage licenses too. I can understand how you feel about wanting a baby, not a grown child and I admit that I feel like most men about babies .... they are mostly
