Sunday 5/2/43 My dearest: One short day of rest. How good it seems. We certainly are getting a work-out here. We are told that there is 1 person in 1 million who can go through this training. Tests come at 9 p.m after 12 to 14 hours of work and you have to get 100 or fail. It's perfection or nothing. The Yankee Kangaroo was swell. I'm sure they'll like it. I am enclosing that application signed and you can fill it in. Also a card from Raymond Jeffreys that you might like to see. You know I surely would like to take the boy.... but it
