We are 5 miles from it - in a valley. There are hills at 2 or 3 miles distance in all directions. It's hotter than hell (well, no I never was there, but it's HOT here) here in April. I hate to think what it will be like by July or August. There isn't much difference between here and Ellington. Long rows of barracks ...... fewer men here than there. San Marcos is mostly Mexican .. a hell hole .... so the boys say. It does have a nice
