a chance to come out in the spring. If they do trouble us next summer they will come from between the floor and baseboard for I know none of them will ever get out of those holes. It does seem so nice to be house-keeping at last. I think we shall have a pleasant time here. The people aint savages by any means and the way they begin to [pay?] [up?] looks cheering. The worst thing about the [illegible] is its provokingly big name, but I guess we'll live through it. The books haven't come yet and we are anxious about them. Frank will go to [Charitan?] this week to see about them. Frank's salary is [$500?]. Slender aint it? but we'll live on it.
