In conclusion I would respectfully request that for the good of my Company and the service a commission be issued at once for Sergeant Potter. I am in great need of another officer, my First Lieutenant being on special duty. My Company is above the maximum, containing one hundred and four (104) men. Very respectlly your, obedient servant E.
